Roger Nesbitt
City of Dryden Chief Administrative Officer Roger “Bull-By-The-Horns”
Nesbitt grew up on a Dryden area farm where the closest thing to a mechanical bull was an ornery heifer named Bessie who had a
personal vendetta against anyone in rubber boots. After years of dodging cow patties and chasing
escaped chickens, Nesbitt thought public service would be the safer career choice—until the pressure
and arm twisting occurred to take part in this "little fundraiser."
Now, armed with nothing but hismunicipal experience, questionable life choices, and the muscle memory of being bucked off the family
tractor at age twelve, Nesbitt will attempt to stay on a mechanical bull for longer than it takes to
approve a routine bylaw amendment. Local bets are currently 3-to-1 that he'll last exactly as long as his
patience during budget season—approximately 8 seconds.
All proceeds benefit the Dryden Food Bank’s Project Hope, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #63, and the Dryden District Agricultural Society’s new barn
project, because apparently Nesbitt's dignity wasn't donation enough.
