Mauldin High Spirit Week is an entire week the school devotes to raising money to support selected charities. This year Mauldin Student Council has chosen the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization as our benefactor. Throughout the week of January 20th-27th Mauldin High and the local community will host events to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Big Brothers Big Sisters improves the lives of “at risk” youth. Their programs reduce the number of school dropouts and keep young people from engaging in high risk behaviors. The Mauldin High School Mentoring Program has been a model of success for 16 years, helping over 1,000 children. The three general objectives are to improve academic performance, improve social behavior, and improve emotional well being.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. We have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country - including yours.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact.
