Cedric Vincent McCombs Sr.
Indianapolis - Cedric Vincent McCombs Sr., 62, passed away February 3. On Saturday, February 8 there will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11 am with visitation from 10 am until time of service at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, and interment at Washington Park North Cemetery.

Cedric, the first son born to Henrietta and Grant McCombs, Jr., was born on January 26, 1958, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents, his wife, Telighta of 38 years and son, Roderick K. Carter preceded him in death.
Cedric attended Indianapolis public schools. His work history, was that of a laborer, working at companies, such as Peerless Pump, FedEx Freight and Ryder Trucking. He retired early to assist with his wife’s extended medical care. To keep busy, after his wife’s death, he made himself available doing odd jobs.
Cedric, in the earlier part of his marriage, upon his wife’s urging and prayer, became affiliated with and a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Reverend Moses Day.
Maturing, in grace and mercy, he became a better man, husband, father and in general, an upstanding person, who was well known in his community.
Cedric V. McCombs, Sr. departed this earthly life on Monday, February 3 2020, at the age of 62 years.
He will greatly be missed and continually loved by his family: children, Cedric Jr., Brandi M., Julius M. Carter, Sierra Vinson (grandchildren reared by the grandparents), Kendra, Kenneth, and Brittney Ewing; siblings, Aaron Jackson (Gwen), Edna M. Sheppard (Bishop Charles A.), Suzette Y. McCombs, Kathleen P. Gripper (Carlton), Jilletta J. McCombs; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and fiancée, Ms. Tonya Ewing, a host of cousins, relatives, church family and friends.
