Comment: Still working, but ready for the easy life!  I've been employed for 39 years with The Hertz Corporation, managing corporate relationship within a four State geography.  My wife, Elaine, and I raised our three children in Nampa, then moved to Utah in 2003 in conjunction with my job.  We have five grandchildren.  My parents still live in Nampa and we just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in May 2021.

Comment: In March, 2000 I married our classmate Diane Markus and we remain together today.  Her children have provided me with seven step grandchildren that are fun to follow.





I'm in my twenty-sixth year as a member of the Idaho judiciary.  I formally retired in January, 2018; but continue to work part-time as a judge.





In 1975, I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Accounting.  Between 1975 and 1980 I worked as a Certified Public Accountant with the international accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte LLP).  I worked for the firm's offices in Boise, Seattle and Melbourne, Australia.





In 1983, I graduated from the University of Idaho, College of Law.  In 1985 and 1986, I worked as a trial attorney in the Ada County Public Defender's Office.  From 1986 through 1992 I worked as a trial attorney focusing primarily on insurance defense for the law firm of Quane Smith Howard & Hull in Boise, Idaho.  In 1993 and 1994 I was a trial attorney with the law firm of Rosholt Robertson & Tucker in Twin Falls, Idaho.





In 1995, I was appointed as the Magistrate Judge in Owyhee County and served in that capacity for the next twelve years.  In 2007, I was appointed by Governor Otter as a District Judge with chambers in Caldwell.  I was elected by the other District Judges of the Third Judicial District to serve as the Administrative District Judge for a three year term beginning in February, 2012.





Beginning in 2014 I was appointed to serve on the Idaho Judicial Council which oversees ethical complaints against Idaho's judges and works with the Governor in reviewing judicial applicants seeking appointment as a District Judge.





I was appointed to the Juvenile Justice Commission by Governors Kempthorne, Risch and Otter and served from 1998 until 2012.  In 2004 I was given the John Schuler Award for Outstanding Contribution to Juvenile Corrections by the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association.





During my career, I served on the Statewide Drug Court and Mental Health Court Committee of the Idaho Supreme Court and presided over the Canyon County Drug Court for a five year period.  I alsoserved on the Lawyers' Assistance Program committee of the Idaho State Bar.

Comment: Not much has changed but it seems just like a few years ago we graduated.  I have 2 boys and six grandchildren.  I work in Seattle but live in a small town.   My grandchildren keep me busy.   When I am not with them I like to travel.   Learn alot from visiting other countries and places.  It will be nice to visit and see others.

Comment: I have been remarried to my husband Don for 7 years.  We live life on a bird habitat acreage south of Nampa and enjoy our free time camping, fly fishing and gardening.  With my new marriage came 2 lovely stepdaughters and a grandson.  We love to share the outdoors with him.  I have been employed at the Nampa hospital for 23 years and am a Medical Staff Coordinator.  I can't wait to retire!

     I share my life with my husband, Lenn of 26+ yrs. here in Walnut, "Iowa's Official Antique City."  We enjoy buying & selling, (& collecting!) antiques & collectibles.  We also enjoy working on our 1907 "Arts & Crafts" farm style home. There's always something to do but she's well worth it!


 


     We have 3 "adult" children: Lenny 47,(lives only an hr. away.) Jay 43, (who shares our home as well.)


Meggan 40.  She and her husband live in WA. They have  3 children, Maliyah 21, (lives in Utah with her dad & family)then Adrian 14 & Dakota 12 who live with Meggan & husband, Isaac.


     I Finally finshed school!
