Married for 46 years to a great guy! We have two daughters and sons-in-law. We have 8 grandchildren and 3 great grands. About 20 years ago my husband took an early retirement to help care for his family's ranch after his Dad passed away. The 720 acre ranch has kept us busy during the springs, summers and falls in McCall. His Mom is 103 and we are in agreement with his family that it is time to really retire and now share the ranch. We have been blessed beyond measure and are so thankful to God for our precious family and great friends. Blessings to all! R.A. "Skeeter' Shaw |

Comment: HI! I am eager to connect with you as I have just moved "home" from San Diego, where I've lived for 17 years. I enjoyed 3 years at U of I, summer school in Guadalajara and a job in Sunriver, Oregon. My sister provided a safe haven for me in central California, but I continued moving to Long Beach. I worked a number of computer-entry jobs, or reception, in airline ticket sales, and as a nutritionist. I transferred to Knoxville, Tn for two years with Delta Airlines, where my oldest was born. I am not truly the wanderer type, but I have always been drawn to outdoor hiking and indoor swimming. I was restless for other reasons! After trying to learn about the "South," I returned to California and soon opened a day care business which led me to finish college and get my California BCLAD teacher's credential...I have been a Spanish/ESL teacher for many years, and have truly had joyful experiences sharing as a teacher my love for life and learning. In between all that are two earlier marriages, but I have been married to Gil for nearly 22 years; have two wonderful daughters, one, married, and an RN, and the other, on the dean's list at BIOLA Univ. I put great effort into being a mom, and my little women are beautiful, fun-loving,highly accomplished and most important: Believers! I enjoy playing piano, fellowship, dinner parties, and helping friends. I like the simple life...and am eager to be a doting grandmother. I have been very blessed and I am thrilled to reconnect with all of you! Please come for game night in Nampa or hiking in New Meadows! |

Comment: My life since 1971,huh? Well, Ive been a beautician, student, archaeologist, museum curator, student for graduate degree, grant writer and historian, dispatcher, dispatch supervisor, alcohol licenser, criminal history supervisor for all of Idaho, and my current incarnation, auditor and trainer for Idaho law enforcement for criminal history, fingerprinting, AMBER alerts, missing persons, and unidentified deceased. I've worked ISP for 29 years and probably the next 29 years also! This career allows me to work with local law enforcement and to travel this gorgeous state. I'm a lucky, lucky woman! |

Comment: I think of all the learning we endured during our 12 years of education (and college) and not much of it prepares you for life after high school. Would be nice if we could do it again, but with what we know now. This is what I like about the class reunions. I really think life is more about relationships than anything else. OK enough of that. I've been with the Murrieta School District for close to 9 years and working in the irrigation department. We keep everything very green all year round, fix what gets broken, etc. Carla and I have been married for over 28 years, 5 kids and 7 grandkids. Grandkids are so much fun, we love spending time with them. We take them to Disneyland as often as we can (50 miles from us) but a few of the grandkids are still a little young for the long day and hour wait lines. Carla teaches special ed. in the city just south of us at one of their high schools, very demanding job, better her than me, I like working outside by myself. Hope to retire in 4 maybe 8 years (see how healthy I feel in the next few years) I look at our year book from time to time and wonder where most of you are and what you are doing. With all the technology we have at out fingertips I hope we can stay in touch now. |
