Comment:
Our mothers were right – time flies even faster the older you get. How can it be 50 years? After high school I attended and graduated from Northwest College of Business in Portland, OR. I then moved to Boise and went to work for the Department of Special Education, State of Idaho. Over the next six years I worked for various agencies within state and federal government, as well as one year as a legal secretary for a private attorney. I finally “landed” with the Department of Health and Welfare and worked in various positions over the next 24 years. The last 10 years of my career I was the Program Manager for the 211 Idaho CareLine. My husband, Bob, and I have been married for almost 33 years. We have a 26-year old son together and also have an older son and daughter (from his first marriage). Our children have blessed us with 5 wonderful grandchildren. In 2007 I retired and love it that they now pay me to stay home. We are enjoying retirement, try to keep up with the grandkids who now range in age of 15 to 8. I love the outdoors, gardening, sewing/quilting, and football – especially BSU, of course! |
