I knew Bill all the way back in Boy Scouts in Troop 48, where his dad was a scout leader. Bill was a friend and one of the "good ones." I later taught his grandson at Peter G. Schmidt where I worked. It was the year he passed away, so I was so glad to help him through that time of grief.
