Comment: My favorite part of Parkettes - other than the close friends - was simply dancing. We were MORE than Vikings cheerleaders. The basketball halftime shows, conventions, and practices were thrilling to me. Consider Yourself, Dame, and Rockin' Round the Clock were favorites.

Being in the Parkettes was one of the highlights of my life, which I appreciate more the older I get. The discipline and professionalism have carried through into many other aspects of my life. Never settle for anything less than the best!

Comment: I have many fond memories from my time as a Parkette. Mrs. Libby taught me so many valuable life skills including poise, confidence, focus, determination, responsibility, and the value of hard work. For the past 35 years, I have tried to pass these on to the students of my modeling school and the pageant contenders that I have trained. Parkettes was far more than a danceline. It was a lesson in life and what it takes to be successful. Now, nearly 50 years later, the St. Louis Park Parkettes are up and running, in the Dakota foyer, once again!  My Parkette sister, Marcia Brucciani, and I have recently revitalized the Parkettes, to perpetuate the group's rich legacy. We  co-direct a group of exceptional young ladies that share in our enthusiasm and excitement.  The Parkettes are now a St. Louis Park High School sanctioned activity.
