Story

Hello Friends and Family,

We are three friends who have been planning to walk a marathon (26.2 miles) to celebrate the end of this crazy school year and to get some much-needed exercise.  Also, with the news of the tragic events over the past few weeks, we felt an urge to do more in the fight against racism and injustice.  So, we thought it would be both great and meaningful to walk our marathon while also raising money for an important cause. We want to raise money to help fight racism and injustice in our communities throughout our country and then donate it to the "Anti Police-Terror Project" to support and promote equality. Our goal to raise at least $2000 to donate to the "Anti Police-Terror Project".

We would appreciate any amount of money that you feel comfortable donating to help us support both our goal and racial equality in our world! We are planning on walking our marathon throughout our beautiful and diverse city of San Francisco this Friday, June 5th starting bright and early at 8 am!

Thank you so much for your moral and financial support!

xo,
Samantha Sherman, Sadie Poulsen, and Maya Moorthy

Please join the three of us in making a difference. We're raising money to benefit the Anti Police-Terror Project, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause. It means so much to us.

More information about the Anti Police-Terror Project: We are a Black-led, multi-racial, intergenerational coalition that seeks to build a replicable and sustainable model to eradicate police terror in communities of color. We support families surviving police terror in their fight for justice, documenting police abuses, and connecting impacted families and community members with resources, legal referrals, and opportunities for healing.
