8/17/2016 - ClaudiaI Samuelson Facebook post -  It is with a very heavy heart that I let you know that Jeff Harrington passed away suddenly in June of a heart attack. I couldn't bring myself to say anything because it felt too raw at the time. Jeff was a husband and father, brother and friend. I was so lucky to have known him for all of these years, starting with our deep friendship at Alexander Ramsey in 1973 when we all arrived on the scene as freshmen. That friendship evolved to couples friends, his great wife and my hubby...Jeff and me, we had some laughs in Nola. Some of you recall he was my homecoming date our junior year. Jeff never had anything bad to say about anyone and was the most positive person I've ever known, in spite of the circumstances that he endured - losing everything in Katrina among other things. He will be greatly missed.

Jeffrey Joseph Harrington passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was 59 years old. Loving husband for 26 years to Patricia Noonan Harrington. Father of Paul Robert Harrington. Brother of Scott Harrington (Jody) and Dee Legvold (Steve). Son of the late Robert and Tweety Harrington.

Jeffrey was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and moved to New Orleans in 1974. He worked at Brennan’s Restaurant for 25 years, and he ended his career at Arnaud’s Restaurant as a Captain. He always showed up for work and always did a great job! Jeffrey will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.
