Cynthia Tupper
Cynthia Ellen "Cindy" Tupper (née Brown), 68, passed away on March 19, 2025, in Rochester, Minnesota. Born on January 23, 1957, in Ramsey, Minnesota, Cindy was a woman of remarkable strength, love, and laughter. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey Senior High School in 1975 and later pursued higher education while balancing work and raising her daughter. Determined to achieve her goal before her daughter graduated, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1999. Cindy's life was filled with dedication to family, community, and personal passions. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron of Cereal Chapter 2 in Mankato. She also devoted time to mentoring young women as a leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop and Job’s Daughters Bethel. Cindy had a deep love for travel, always seeking new experiences and adventures. She found joy in reading and camping and was an avid sewer who also loved knitting and crocheting. Above all else, Cindy embodied love. She believed that everyone deserved to love and be loved in return. Her heart was always open, often expanding her "heart family" to include those she cherished deeply. Strength was another defining trait—she faced life's challenges with resilience and taught her daughter the importance of perseverance. Laughter was ever-present in her life; she used humor to navigate even the darkest times and found joy where others might not. Cindy is survived by her beloved wife, Jocelyn Tupper; her mother, MaryEllen Brown, her daughter, Melissa (Jason) Wobig; and her two grandchildren, Jacob Wobig and Marilyn Wobig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Vette; her father, Bruce Brown; and her grandparents, Gertrude and Vern Chadwick and Beatrice and Walter Brown. A funeral service will be held on April 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Peace United Church of Christ, located at 1503 2nd Ave NE, Rochester, MN 55906. A reception will follow the service. Cindy’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
