Jeffery (Jeff) Rudd died around Christmas 1994 in Powerline Pass Park, near Anchorage, Alaska. An experienced backcountry skier, climber and hiker, Jeff was last seen Christmas Eve. Friends reported Jeff missing when he didn't show up for a planned Christmas Day outing at Alyeska Resort. A hiker found the body of Jeff on April 16, 1995. Jeff grew up in the “Falcon Woods” neighborhood of Falcon Heights and attended Brimhall Elementary School. He loved sports, especially baseball, which was played at the “vacant lot” or the city park. Summers were spent camping in the backyard, building carnival tests of skills (throwing the softball into the basket, pop the balloon with a dart, etc.), hunting for salamanders, and other adventures in the neighborhood.
