Jack went on to lead his LL All-Star team to the Ill. State Championship Tournament at age 12. I believe they lost in the final game. His first year in Babe Ruth League he pitched 3 no-hitters and had a batting average of over .500. I lived 2 houses away from Jack and consider him to be the best friend I ever had. Not only a gifted athlete, but a truly exemplary husband and human being.

Jack was the best baseball pitcher in the history of Brookfield Little League, this coming from a guy who managed a foul tip off him once.
