Classmate Profiles

Sixty Plus years since we graduated!
Please create or update your biography.
Tell classmates about yourself! Click on "Add Your Profile" and fill out the form so that we have up-to-date contact information. You may also wish to add a short bio about what you've been up to the last 50 years. It's a great way to "reacquaint" ourselves with one another. Please note that there is a limit of 220 words - about 22 lines.
It's recommended that you not share upcoming vacation dates, day & month of your birth, financial information and other sensitive information on the internet.
Important: Your contact information will not be posted on the site (however, others will be able to send you an email if you include your email address in the setup information of your profile).
Some ideas when writing: Did you attend college/where? What do/did you do for a living? What kinds of things do you like to do for fun? Have you done any traveling? Any other thoughts/memories would be great too.
Don't forget to add a recent picture (can be individual, with significant other, family, etc.)! We will upload your yearbook picture for the "then" picture, but if you would prefer to use an alternative picture, you may do so as well. Just click "Edit Entry."
Our paths began as a blank page to be written on by experience. Our parents and friends escorted us down the path that curved and rose and fell shaping the person we are today. Like the proverbial moss we gathered acquaintances and life longfriends to traveldown our mutual paths. Each footway had epiphanous moments perhaps changing our path.
A pivotal event in our lives was graduation from our twelve years of education - from there we looked toward the future with hopes and dreams. Within this set of reflections are some of examples of how these dreams manifested themselves into fruition. Stories, memories, education, family, activism, etc. all of that brought us to here pondering is that all there is?

Comment: | I attended the University of Minnesota after highschool graduating with a BA Degree in American History. In June of 1966 I married my wife Colleen (we will celebrate our 44thanniversary this year). We have two children, Scott and Tracy and six(6) grandchildren. My first position after college was in sales with Procter and Gamble and then I took a position in human resources with Honeywell in Minneapolis. In 1973 Honeywell transferred us to Chicago as Personnel Manager for their factory operations. I eventually retired in 2007 after 25 years with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) as Vice President Human Resources Sales. Both of our children now live in Charlotte, NC, so we recently purchased a second home in a Sun City development just outside the Charlotte area to be able to spend more time with them. I still do some HR consulting and served as President of our homeowners association last year to keep busy. Golfing, walking and reading american history are my hobbies. |

Comment: | I live in Prior Lake. I am retired from United Airlines as a Flight Attendant. I traveled all over the world with my job and have continued to do so since retirement. One of my last trips was to Vietnam and Cambodia. I have one son, married, with a grandson (10) and a granddaughter (8). I used to winter in AZ., but when the grandchildren came along, I didn't want to be a voice on the phone, so I sold my home there. I now enjoy short trips in the winter. I work part time at a Hallmark card store in Savage. |

Comment: | (The "Now" picture shows fron left to right: Gayle, Trish, Linda, and Me) After graduation got married, had 2 girls & got divorced 15 years later. Married Fred Miller who has 2 sons and we have been married for 33 years in May. Our blended family worked out well with Lori being the oldest, Elizabeth & Greg the same age, and Christopher the youngest. We have 8 grandchildren (3 girls & 5 boys) and one great-grandson who just turned 7 - my how time flies! We have a year-round lake home by Glenwood and try to get there whenever possible. I am still working (husband is retired) and my job involves a lot of travel which cuts into lake time. Twice a year (April & August) the "Girls" (Gayle Delay McDermott, Kathy Johnson Griepp, Linda Nelson Palmer, Mary Schwamb Swenson, Sandy Elmquist Wellumson, and Trish Bove) come up to the lake to spend time together relaxing and having fun. In the summer we do 'precision floating' which we are sure is going to become an Olympic event some day. In recent years, we had 3 of our "Girls" pass on to a better life (Mary Baker McGrail, Jeri Swanson Trulson, & Dorene Wiehle Donnay) although we know they are always with us in spirit. I love to travel, quilt and read - I got an electronic book reader for trips (tried it out on a trip to Europe that Linda & I took) and love it. It definitely makes my luggage lighter - especially since Linda and I found out we are not cut out to backpack in Europe - we each bought rolling suitcases there! Hope to see you at the reunion. |

Comment: | I didn't graduate from Richfield as Braniff transfered Dad to Dallas so I graduated from Richardson High School in a Dallas Suberb then graduated Texas Athletic and Military University with a degree in civil engineering and worked for several consulting engineeriing firms until 5pm on my 65th birthday when I became eligable for socialized medicine. 10 years after graduating from A&M I decided the Dallas heat was unbearable and moved to Albuquerque (high elevation is cooler). I had 2- kids by wife #1, came to my senses and married Baby Bok (the Korean girl next door). We travelled the world. Global warming has however made Albuquerque summers as awful as Dallas. |

Comment: | In 1962 I married my current husband Dick Munson, he introduces me as his current wife it has been 48 years. We have two children, our son and his family live in Maplewood, MN and our daughter and her family live in Centerville, MN. When our children were in high school we were Foster Parents for Chemical Dependent teenagers offering to them healthy family living. Dick's last position with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. was in Cincinnati as Franchise developer for the Eastern third of the United States where he retired and started a franchise consulting and advising business. For 15 years in Cincinnati I have worked in a model home selling homes for a New Home Builder. Winters are shorter here and I enjoy the longer summers although I return very often to the Twin Cities to visit the three Grandsons, and my 92 year old mother. Being self employed now, we have been able to travel often, take vacations "Up North" in Minnesota with our family, and generally enjoy a healthy life. See Dicks bio. See you at the reunion |

Comment: |
Soon after High School I became employed by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company holding many management positions then finally Franchise Developer for the Eastern third of the US, when after 33 years, I retired in 1996. With my experience in Franchising I started my own consulting company, FranNet, in Cincinnati, Ohio where we have lived for the last 20 years. Helping people find the right match and fit for their skills and interest when they are starting the process of self employment is what FranNet specializes in. I am in my 14th year of being a “match maker” for the franchise industry and having a very good time and do not see why I should retire. I have been married to Barbara Nelson for 48 years and have 2 children and 3 grandsons, all still living in the Twin Cities. We return to Minnesota often to be with our family. A tradition is to rent a condo on a lake in Nisswa and have the entire family join us for a week to make great memories. We love to travel and two of our recent trips are an Alaska Land tour and Inside Passage cruise, and a 3-week Central and South America cruise including the Panama Canal.
