Classmate Profiles

Sixty Plus years since we graduated!
Please create or update your biography.
Tell classmates about yourself! Click on "Add Your Profile" and fill out the form so that we have up-to-date contact information. You may also wish to add a short bio about what you've been up to the last 50 years. It's a great way to "reacquaint" ourselves with one another. Please note that there is a limit of 220 words - about 22 lines.
It's recommended that you not share upcoming vacation dates, day & month of your birth, financial information and other sensitive information on the internet.
Important: Your contact information will not be posted on the site (however, others will be able to send you an email if you include your email address in the setup information of your profile).
Some ideas when writing: Did you attend college/where? What do/did you do for a living? What kinds of things do you like to do for fun? Have you done any traveling? Any other thoughts/memories would be great too.
Don't forget to add a recent picture (can be individual, with significant other, family, etc.)! We will upload your yearbook picture for the "then" picture, but if you would prefer to use an alternative picture, you may do so as well. Just click "Edit Entry."
Our paths began as a blank page to be written on by experience. Our parents and friends escorted us down the path that curved and rose and fell shaping the person we are today. Like the proverbial moss we gathered acquaintances and life longfriends to traveldown our mutual paths. Each footway had epiphanous moments perhaps changing our path.
A pivotal event in our lives was graduation from our twelve years of education - from there we looked toward the future with hopes and dreams. Within this set of reflections are some of examples of how these dreams manifested themselves into fruition. Stories, memories, education, family, activism, etc. all of that brought us to here pondering is that all there is?

Comment: | Ed & Rose have been married now for 28 years. This picture was taken of us at the Toastmasters Fall Conf. at the Sugar Lake Lodge. I had just been awarded the Distinguished Toastmaster Level Award. In our 28 years we have raised 3 fantastic kids. Kirk, the oldest, is the store manager of a Tires Plus store in Columbia Heights. Kimi is married with 2 kids and lives in Prior Lake. She works as a coding auditor for Humana. Kristina, the youngest, is finishing up an internship to finish her degree in medical administration. I worked for 15 years at General Mills, 5 1/2 yrs at Oscar Meyer in Madison, Wi. and have had several businesses of my own. Condo life is great. No yard work, no snow shoveling, plus 2 heated parking spaces, an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, car wash station with vacuum and air hose. If you are not living your dream, let me know. Maybe I can help |

Comment: | This phase of my life has become about embracing each moment. I have a son and daughter, four granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson. Time with them is the BEST! My life is full of family, friends, genealogy, reading, working out, listening to music, studying four languages, and whatever else inspires me. Since the COVID pandemic I stopped working as a paraprofessional because, yes,...I now admit that I'm older and vulnerable. In 2020, one of the things I did to simplify my life was downsize and move into a townhome. The photos of me - the black and white one is in my family's backyard in 1959. The color one is from my trip to Sweden and Norway in 2017. |

I have 4 grandchildren, Nikki - 21, Nolan - 12, Marielle - 10, Michella 5. They live in Lakeville. I worked in retail grocery business for 42 years. Retired in 2002; moved up north on a lake and golf course just outside of Virginia, MN. I play golf, fish, hunt and just enjoy the north country. I go to Fort Myers, Florida in the winter. Comment: | My wife Lynn (RHS class of '62) and I are living in Anoka after teaching and raising our two daughters in Juneau, Alaska for 23 years. I enjoyed commercial salmon fishing during the summers and hiking the many trails around Juneau. Before school started every August, several friends and I got together for an annual sheep hunt, visiting ANWAR and the Wrangell mountains. Since retirement I have replaced the rifle with a camera. I coached girls' basketball for 20 years, and was fortunate to have coached a future Olympian (former Lynx player Andrea Lloyd). My 1982 team was favored to win State, but our school board decided not to allow our ninth graders to travel to the tourney. This opened the door for Wasilla and their feisty point guard, Sarah Heath Palin to win it all. We won it the next year. |
