Tell classmates about yourself! Click on "Add Your Profile" and fill out the form so that we have up-to-date contact information. You may also wish to add a short bio about what you've been up to the last 50 years. It's a great way to "reacquaint" ourselves with one another. Please note that there is a limit of 220 words - about 22 lines.
It's recommended that you not share upcoming vacation dates, day & month of your birth, financial information and other sensitive information on the internet.
Important: Your contact information will not be posted on the site (however, others will be able to send you an email if you include your email address in the setup information of your profile).
Some ideas when writing: Did you attend college/where? What do/did you do for a living? What kinds of things do you like to do for fun? Have you done any traveling? Any other thoughts/memories would be great too.
Don't forget to add a recent picture (can be individual, with significant other, family, etc.)! We will upload your yearbook picture for the "then" picture, but if you would prefer to use an alternative picture, you may do so as well. Just click "Edit Entry."
Our paths began as a blank page to be written on by experience. Our parents and friends escorted us down the path that curved and rose and fell shaping the person we are today. Like the proverbial moss we gathered acquaintances and life longfriends to traveldown our mutual paths. Each footway had epiphanous moments perhaps changing our path.
A pivotal event in our lives was graduation from our twelve years of education - from there we looked toward the future with hopes and dreams. Within this set of reflections are some of examples of how these dreams manifested themselves into fruition. Stories, memories, education, family, activism, etc. all of that brought us to here pondering is that all there is?

Comment: | We were married in 1966 and moved to Modesto, CA. in 1975. We have a married son in Washington, D.C. and a married daughter with 2 granddaughters who live next door. Yea! Jane is a hospital pharmacist and Byron recently retired from the practice of law. We have traveled extensively and enjoy bicycling and golf. We still have friends and family in the Minneapolis area so visit frequently. The Vikings and Twins still remain our favorite teams. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. |

Comment: | Hi everyone, Wow. 50 years. How is it possible? After graduation I attended the U of M and graduated in "64 with a degree in Home Economics. Married Jerry Hanson in "65 and divorced in '70. Married Ron Haberkorn in "71 and still happily married after 38 years -- another, Wow! We have four, "yours, mine and ours" daughters and 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 18 yrs. and thankfully all living in MN. In 1980 Ron started a computer service/info company called Norex, Inc. located in Prior Lake. It has been a blessing in our lives as well as keeping us both busy -- him full time++ and me part time. He is in the process of retiring which allows us to spend most of the winter in FL. We have a condo in Cortez which is located on the west coast between Tampa and Sarasota. My hobbies and activities include amimals (gave up the horses and moved on to manageable sized dogs -- currently have a Havanese named Rocky who flies back and forth to FL with us), of course the grandkids, BIble Study Fellowship - a life changing experience for me, traveling, boating, watercolor painting and drawing, reading and taking care of the "old guy". Life is good. Looking forward to the reunion. |

Occupation: | Retired Mathematics Professor |
Comment: | Covering 54 years in a few words is hard. I used to be quiet at RHS but no one would classify me as shy or quiet now. I attended the U of M and Bemidji State and graduated from Bemidji in 1964 with a math/English degree. In 1964, I married Herb Hanson and we celebrated 50 years this summer. I taught math in the UP of Michigan and then returned to Minnesota to teach math at Hibbing High School. We adopted Darrick in 1970 and Calisa in 1973 and I was a stay at home mom for a few years. After returning to college and getting all of the degrees necessary to teach math at a college level, I taught mathematics for 20 years at Hibbing Community College. I loved teaching but retirement has been marvelous. We live five months of the year on our island called Twin Alligator Island on Namakan Lake on the Minnesota/Ontario border. We spend a few months in Galveston, Texas in one of the condos we own there. Our home base is a condo in Hibbing although people are always surprised to see us home. Lately, I have a whole new career with the publication of my Dad’s books. He wrote stories for us about being a warden but his rule to us was we could not publish them until after he died. He died in 2003 and we planned to only print 100 for friends and family. We have sold over 27,000 books. The books in two volumes are called They Used to Call Us Game Wardens. Now I have a power point presentation about Dad and the publishing of the books and I have had many speaking engagements. I work cheap – if I can sell books, the program is free. I also now have a company called Ivanette Designs and I have different stores and art galleries selling my designs that are mostly jewelry. The picture was taken when we took our kids on an Alaskan cruise/land vacation to celebrate our 50th. I may be 54 years older and gray but this picture is better than the dorky graduation picture. A reunion in 2015 would be fun or if anyone gets to the Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota or Galveston, Texas, look us up. |

After divorcing my second husband, I moved back to Minnesota from Texas with my children. I beccame a waitress in fine dining in the evening for 14 years. The last 3 I was learning how to groom all breeds of dogs during the day. In 1984, I opened my own shop in my home, and I'm still at it. In 2000 I married Chuck. He's a consultant with the Navy. We have made many trips out to California to see my son Kevin and Chuck's Mom Lori, and I have met Chuck at many of his job sites where we took in the sites. I have 3 beautiful granddaughters and love to spend time with them. I also enjoy crafts including needlepoint, cross stich, card making and many more. I had to give up my Paso Fino horse after a serious horse accident that hospitilized me. Chuck still rides. |

Comment: | To Classmates of 1960, Following graduation from RHS in 1960, I was fortunate to attend I was divorced in 1981 and remarried to Diane Schmieg in 1984. In the second marriage, I have a stepson, Jed A. and two children, Laura Ann and Russell C. Heeter. I feel truly blessed to have had these children. My son, Robert F., is a graduate of Stanford and I look back upon the life I have led with great satisfaction. Comment: | I graduated from the U of M with a degree in Forest Management Resources. My career history is somewhat easy to explain. I worked for Bachman's, Inc. over 46 years. I was very lucky to work for a great company! Interesting products lines, a very nice family to work with, and a lot of opportunities and experiences! I retired over 5 years ago. Georgia and I have two daughters, Beth & Amy, with 5 grandchildren, "The center of our universe." We currently live in Hudson, WI, after 26 years in Bloomington. We spend our winters in Fort Myers and much of our summers at our lake home near Moose Lake, MN. Babysitting our grandchildren, traveling, reading and trying to master the game of golf are the areas of interest that take up most of our free time. I also enjoy volunteering at Hudson Hospital driving the van, picking up people who are unable to drive. You meet some very nice people. My school memories were great teachers, friends and getting the crap beat out of me during football practices! I retired from the sport, in the 10th grade@ It will be fun to see everyone this September! |
