Classmate Profiles

Sixty Plus years since we graduated!
Please create or update your biography.
Tell classmates about yourself! Click on "Add Your Profile" and fill out the form so that we have up-to-date contact information. You may also wish to add a short bio about what you've been up to the last 50 years. It's a great way to "reacquaint" ourselves with one another. Please note that there is a limit of 220 words - about 22 lines.
It's recommended that you not share upcoming vacation dates, day & month of your birth, financial information and other sensitive information on the internet.
Important: Your contact information will not be posted on the site (however, others will be able to send you an email if you include your email address in the setup information of your profile).
Some ideas when writing: Did you attend college/where? What do/did you do for a living? What kinds of things do you like to do for fun? Have you done any traveling? Any other thoughts/memories would be great too.
Don't forget to add a recent picture (can be individual, with significant other, family, etc.)! We will upload your yearbook picture for the "then" picture, but if you would prefer to use an alternative picture, you may do so as well. Just click "Edit Entry."
Our paths began as a blank page to be written on by experience. Our parents and friends escorted us down the path that curved and rose and fell shaping the person we are today. Like the proverbial moss we gathered acquaintances and life longfriends to traveldown our mutual paths. Each footway had epiphanous moments perhaps changing our path.
A pivotal event in our lives was graduation from our twelve years of education - from there we looked toward the future with hopes and dreams. Within this set of reflections are some of examples of how these dreams manifested themselves into fruition. Stories, memories, education, family, activism, etc. all of that brought us to here pondering is that all there is?

Comment: | Hi Everyone! Life after RHS has been a roller coaster but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I attended Macalester College and became an elementary teacher. Then married a clergyman! What was I thinking? Besides moving 14 times, I finished a Master's in Library Science from Western Michigan University and a doctorate Early Childhood from Nova Southeastern University. So literacy is my field and I've taught everyone from Head Start to Teachers at some point. We have a son, Eric, who is career military-a BlackHawk helicopter Medevac and test pilot. Our daughter-in-law Amy is -a teacher! Two delightful grand daughters keep us amused. We have retired in South Carolina and are never bored. Kauai (Hawaii) is our favorite place to travel. Our favorite parish is in Illinois and our favorite state is New Jersey. We also spend lots of time in Clarksville,TN, with the kids. We garden, read and enjoy the nicest neighbors ever. I'm still a little shy but my husband makes up for it. Life is good! Hope to see you soon. Email:cynthij2@aol.com |

Comment: | I have been married to John (Jack) Kamleiter (RHS,'58) since 1962. We raised our family in Richfield, moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1995 to live closer to our children. Our son David is a police detective in Scottsdale, AZ and is the father our our grandchildren John and Kayla. Our daughter Michele is a teacher in Las Vegas, NV and is the mother of our granddaughter Mariel, adopted from the country of Kasakhstan. Although Jack retired as a Labor Relations Manager for Honeywell, he enjoys a part-time position with the city of Scottsdale. My greatest joy comes from being a wife, mother and grandma to three incredible kids. We also like to take mini-vacations to neighboring states and enjoy exploring Arizona during frequent visits from family and friends from the midwest. Life has been good to us and we enjoy every minute of it. I would love to hear from old classmates. |

Comment: | I have been a cook and a baker all my life, the last 26 years baking fresh bread and making healthy meals for the Head Start children in Northwest Wisconsin. Though retired I still enjoy presenting baking classes to interested groups. My passions/specialties are breads from all around the world as well as pastas and beautiful desserts, everything prepared in the most traditional ways. My "now" picture was taken at a recent spaetzle making class I gave for a local German club. We live on 80 acres of woods and are presently doing a 50 year aspen clear cut on 20 acres which is traumatic plus a thinning of 20 acres of pine trees. Our woodland retreat is looking a bit scary today but the forester assures me in a year the new trees will be waist high. The front 40 remains deep and dark where oak and butternut predominate--so I take comfort in that. I am active in the Amery Area Swedish club and I love writing a monthly newspaper for this group. I also started a website for the Swedish klubb and keep it updated and I also built another website for stein collectors in the upper midwest (my husbands hobby) and I am the web master for that as well. In my old age I am keeping up with technology, my children are proud. |

Comment: | I got my B.S. from Winona State College in 1964 where I met my husband Mike. We started our teaching careers in Nome, Alaska. After two years of bush life we moved to Anchorage. I taught four more years before quitting to start our family. I lost Mike in '02 to cancer but have two wonderful children living here in Anchorage. I have been a receptionist at Providence Hospital for 34 years. I meet tons of people from the community and have a family of friends that I enjoy working with. If you stop by my desk I will tell you where to go - that's my job. :-) I retired December of 2014 after 39 years at the hospital. I sold my home and live half the year in Anchorage, Alaska and the other half in Kona, Hawaii in my condo. |
