Gwendolyn Goodine Proctor was born January 22, 1961 in Oconee County. The daughter of Curtis and Lurenia Goodine, she was the seventh child of nine children. Gwen was the granddaughter of Styles and Almeda Richie. She entered into eternal rest at Oconee Memorial Hospital after a battle with breast cancer. A loving wife and daughter, and a dear sister, she was a member of the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. Gwen was devoted and faithful in her ministry of music. She was a graduate of music at USC. Some of her favorite songs and songs that others loved to hear are "You Were There, In My Time Of Needs, Well Done, Having You There, Potter House, Bruised But Not Broken, What Shall I Do, For The Good Of Them, Safe In His Arms, Jesus Is My Joy and Angels Will Be Singing.” She was also faithful and dedicated to her work with the Seneca High School Flag Corp. She was married to Timothy A. Proctor and had one stepson, Kawan Proctor of Durham, N.C.
