Hurbert Richie

Hubert Richie was born in Stephens County to the late Dennis & Loudella Burton Richie. He was a member of Cleveland C.M.E. Church where he served faithfully. He was married to the late Mary Thornton Richie. Hurbert has six children (Lonnie Joe Richie, Hattie Williamson, Pauline Witt, Weldon Richie, Jessie Martin, and Jean Ramsey); numerous grandchildren and great-granchildren. He can be remembered for his love of music and for rendering music for several church choirs and gospel groups in the Northeast GA area.
Hubert was my grandfather. I am the daughter of the late Hattie Richie. I have so many fond memories of PaPa...Not only did he share his love of music with so many people, Papa was quite the character.
