Beatrice Simpson

Beatrice Richie Simpson, age 95, died at Stephens County Hospital. She was born in Franklin County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dennis and Ludella Richie. Beatrice joined Cleveland C.M.E. Church at an early age and united in marriage to the late Harrison Simpson. She later joined Ellis Chapel C.M.E. Church. While serving as a faithful member, she was affiliated with many auxilaries including the President of Stewardess Board, Sunday School Teacher, and Class Leader for many years. She was also a member of the Community Prayer Band and the Mable Scott Senior Citizens Center as well as a good homemaker. Beatrice has six surviving children (Bessie Simpson, Emma Jo Simpson, Lois Keye, Undine Keye, Mary Teasley, and Willie Cash). At time of death, Beatrice had 35 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
