
Curtis Jackson Scott
1935-06-07 2014-10-18Curtis Jackson Scott was born June 7, 1935 to the late Andrew and Alberta Richie Scott. Curtis was called home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2014. He joined Cleveland CME Church at an early age, serving faithfully until his illness. He loved his church!!
Curtis worked in Law Enorcement for a total of 43 years. While in law enforcement, he was able to work through the ranks and become the first black Assistant Chief and the City Marshall. He was an active member of the group called National Association of Black Law Enforcement (NOBLE).
He leaves to cherish his memories, Claudette Scott - his wife of 58 years. Four (4) children Berthenia Trotter, Elder Janice Scott, Joel (Kendra) Scott and Kesha Hunter. Also cherishing his memories is one (1) brother, Joe Scott of Alpharetta, Ga;, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Five (5) sisters-in-laws, Laura Ann Scott, Janice (Donald) Byrd, Linda (J.C.) Drinkard, Elaine (Joseph) Teasley and Vicki (Robin) Walker. Brother-in-law Geno (Roberta) Acosta and special cousins, family friend, host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
