Sharron's activities at RHS included Ski Club, Jr-Sr Party, Girls' Usher Corps and Revue Costume Committee. She died in Bellingham in 2005, of cancer. She raised 4 children (her son predeceased her) and then was active in her grandsons' lives, attending all their events. Sharron held a variety of positions representing the elderly and disabled.

She was past-president of Skagit Valley Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Soroptimists.
