
GERALD DOUGLAS HACKETT
1940-10-22 2012-02-10Gerald Douglas HACKETT Gerry was born October 22, 1940 at Maynard Hospital in Seattle, and was a proud fourth generation Washingtonian. He graduated from Roosevelt High in 1958 and the University of Washington in 1962 with a major in Marketing. He was a longtime resident of Hawthorne Hills. He passed away at home on February 10, 2012. Gerry was employed by Procter and Gamble, The Kendall Company and Schonberg Radiation. He worked as an Independent Rep for Donnell Trading, Magnaflux and Western Equipment. Gerry was a partner with Vern Davison in his own company QC/NDT North from 1985 to 1995. Gerry is survived by his loving wife Maggie and sons Brian Gerald Hackett and wife Jennifer, and Thomas Carl Hackett and wife Liezel. Grandchildren Gavin Hackett and Delaney Hackett loved being around their Grandpa Gerry. There were special times with lifelong friends and neighbors Howard and Vivienne Strickler, Jack and Judy Robinson, and Ed and Beth James. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sam Tolman for his excellent and compassionate care, and the team of chemotherapy nurses who became part of our family (including Susan, Barb and Holly).
