HAROLD HALVORSON

1939-12-02 2008-01-10

Harold C. "Mike" Halvorson Jr.

Born December 2, 1939, in Everett, Mike passed away January 10, 2008, in the same hospital in which he was born. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington, then attended classes at Everett Community College for two years. He met his wife to be, Ruth, on a ship bound for Europe just after it passed the Statue of Liberty. They landed in Naples and traveled through Europe together in the spring of 1962. They were married a year later, had two sons, and made their home in Wedgwood before moving to Spee-Bi-Dah Beach. He coached soccer and basketball for his sons both in Seattle and in Marysville, Washington. He worked as a Produce Manager for 42 years before retiring at the age of 58. Although he battled diabetes for too many years, Mike always maintained his calm and giving nature, special sense of humor, and love for his family through it all.
Mike is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Scott and Erik; daughter-in-law, Tania; grandsons, Nik, Bri, and Jacob; aunt, Gladys Stover; and many loving relatives and great friends.

Memorials may be made to organizations searching for the cure for both diabetes and kidney disease.
We love you and miss you greatly.
