WALT MARTINSEN
1940-03-17 2008-08-21Walter P. MARTINSEN, age 68, of Shoreline, passed away on August 21, 2008. He was born in Seattle on March 17, 1940. Mr. Martinsen worked as a real estate investor and property manager for many years. He is survived by his sons, Steven Martinsen, of California, Scot Martinsen, Bruce Martinsen, both of Seattle, J. David Martinsen, of New York; daughter, Kelly Martinsen – Young, of Seattle; 7 grandchildren and one brother. Mr. Martinsen is also survived by other relatives and a host of friends.
My first and lasting memory of Walt was when we were at Bryant in kindergarten. I broke my arm at recess and not to miss any school I didn't mention it to anyone. At the end of the school, I was unsuccessfully trying to get my coat on and Walt saw me having trouble and asked if he could help me, he was then and up to when we talked at the reunion a very caring person.
