JUDY STONE

JUDY STONE

JUDY STONE (DANCE)

I met Judy when we both entered Nathan Eckstein Jr. High School in 1952-53.  We became friends with Karen Hummon and the three of us remained close for many years following graduation from Roosevelt.  Judy and Karen were fun to be with, always kind, active in school and church activities, held responsible jobs in their chosen fields and raised their families with loving care. Judy loved working in her garden, enjoyed the wildlife that visited her yard occasionally, (except for the garter snakes), and was an accomplished knitter. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Judy and I enjoyed meeting for lunch, from time to time, and we were frequent e-mail buddies. My husband and I looked forward to getting together with Judy and Jack, just to catch up, as often as possible.  Judy bravely fought a rare blood cancer for several years. Now, both Judy and Karen have passed away and I miss them terribly.  But, I treasure the memories of happy times together over the years and know they will be in my heart always.

Judy was my gal through high school and it saddens me to hear of her passing. She was a very close friend in those days and Judy filled a part of my heart.
