After High School German (thanks to Fraulein Hawkins) I continued studying German and gradually became a flight attendent with Pan Am. I flew their Round the World flights and was based in NYC. I met my husband George in Africa (a long way from Seattle). While raising our 3 children, we lived on Long Island, Virginia, Connecticut, Wisconsin and finally have retired in Santa Barbara, CA. We now enjoy our 4 grandchildren.....plus spend our days hiking, biking and playing lots of golf. Its been great! |

After graduating, I attended the University of Washington where I became a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. I finished college at Central Washington University and began teaching in 1974. In 1977 I finished my master's work. I taught mathematics for 29 years including 7 years in Ontario, Canada. I am currently the president of the Washington State Mathematics Council. Though retired, I am working as a learning and teaching math specialist and instructional coach for the Tukwila School District. | |

When my husband retired we sold our home in Shoreline and moved to Point No Point where my heart and soul have always been. In 2000, we built a permanent "empty-nester" home on the beach and are now enjoying the busy life in Hansville. I play in 3 different bridge groups and my husband, who restores and collects classic cars has us fully involved in three car clubs in Kitsap County as well as two in King and Snohomish County. I really look forward to seeing everyone next summer! |
