Paul Cullen

Cullen, Paul R. October 21, 1958 – May 10, 2021, age 62. Preceded in death by father, Ralph, survived by wife, Cheryl, proud father of sons, Dan and Dave (April), mother, Nancy, sisters, Beth (Dennis) and Sharon (Mike) and nieces.
Paul graduated from St. Anthony Village High School in 1976, attended Bethel University 1976-1977 and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1980 with Bachelor’s Degrees in both accounting and mechanical engineering. He became a CPA in 1986.
While in high school Paul lettered in swimming, played baritone in band, marching in many parades, including the International Lions parades in Miami and Hawaii.
He was employed by Wells Fargo as a Senior EDP auditor, Norwest Audit Services as a technical consultant, and as an auditor for the State of Minnesota.
Since 1979 Paul volunteered countless hours for the Minnesota Accounting Aid Society. “I get to help people all the time who are totally confounded by tax forms but can’t afford to pay for a tax service.” Paul was very generous and enjoyed helping others.
Paul loved his family and spending time on his boat at Lake Minnetonka. Teaching Sunday School was an important part of his life as well. Friends from high school remember Paul “as a great guy, had a great sense of humor, and always had a smile on his face.
