The South High Marathon Dance is a charitable event that has transpired annually ever since it's inception in 1978, where 50 dancers danced to a vinyl record player to raise a total of $1500. In the 40 years since then, the efforts of SHMD has raised over $5.6 million! As a student getting to participate in this dance means so much to me. I wait and wait and wait all year for those 28 hours. It's so special to have the opportunity to raise money and give back to a community that has given me so much. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this, and your consideration in donating. Every penny helps propel our cause and give to those who need it most, but most importantly, donate or not, your support for our cause means more than I can out into words.
