Leslie Cathleen Johnson passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2024. At just 54, hers was a tragically young departure, leaving behind a devastated group of friends and family who loved her dearly. Before cruel cancer intervened, Leslie was a vibrant force to be reckoned with: intelligent, quick-witted and always ready with a wise crack to make even the grumpiest souls smile. Her early jobs were in consumer research and advertising, as she dived into her media and marketing career armed with her captivating personality and charming grin. She embraced the work, and treasured all the wonderful and talented peers who mentored and befriended her. Working in radio sales at Simmons and Citadel (now Cumulus), she was most proud of being named Outstanding Citadel Account Manager of the Quarter three times; and rising to becoming Outstanding Sales Person of the Year. Beyond her many professional accomplishments, Leslie will be remembered for her final personal role as live-in caretaker for her Blair family. Leslie shared a unique and unbreakable bond with her identical twin sister, Lauren. Together they navigated life's joys and challenges, supporting each other with unwavering love, affection and understanding. Leslie is survived by her twin, Lauren, and husband Corey Hegna; stepmother Debbie Johnson; nephew Jacob Hegna and niece Emily Hegna. She was preceded in death by her father, Rick Johnson; her mother Marlene Blair and stepfather Jack Blair.
