CLASSMATE BIOS

In some of the past reunions, we have printed a book containing a bio of most classmates. This is too expensive and is outdated quick, so we are providing this page to create a digital classmates bio book. Please know... this information IS secure and NOT available on the website, but you are able to contact anyone 'via email', who has posted their bio.

So, please take a few minutes to update us with your comments and contact information, especially if you moved or changed your email address. Please add a current picture of yourself – it can be with your spouse, your dog, pet rock, what ever you prefer.
Your 'Then' photo will be added later by the site administrator.
Again please remember... no address or contact information is displayed on the website page, it is secure and only available for messages or announcements from the Reunion Committee.

Thanks and enjoy catching up on everyone.
The following pages by default are sorted by 'Last Name'. For better results, click on the down arrow to the right of the 'Sort By' and select 'Maiden Name'. It will be easier to find specific classmates.

If you have trouble accessing your previous bio, send a message through the "Contact Us" page and we can assist with your username and password.

Comment: Hi Classmates!

I share everyone's disbelief that 40 years have passed, although there were some patches that went by awfully slow. Tough to sum up everything, but here goes; had a great career in the Army, retired in 1998, moved back to Minnesota, and am one of two partners in a law firm in Minnetonka doing business law stuff... I am the proud father of four sons, all out of college and making their way in life... one is married, no grandchildren yet... I am very happily married and Mary and I are looking forward to retiring for real in a few years to a lake place up north. I looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Here is a picture of Mary and me with Dustin (#3 son) at his graduation from USC a couple of years ago... he is now an Infantry 1LT...

Comment: Hi classmates,

In June of 1969 I married Sanford (Sandy Proosow). We were young (too young) and in love. We divorced in 1983. Two wonderful children blessed us though: Stacey and Brian. Both are now happily married each with three terrific children and spouses. Brian and family live in northern California while Stacey and family are here in Minnesota. Sadly, in November of 2016 Sandy passed away at age 69 from many illnesses.

I remarried in 1992 to a tall, blonde-haired man with a great sense of humor and a love for learning, music and travel. His name is Steve Peterson and we will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in December. We have enjoyed trips to the North Carolina, California, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon and most recently Yosemite National Park with Brian and family. For part of the past three years we spent time in Florida.

I love spending time with family. Love those grandkids! My hobbies include photography, oil painting, reading, exercise, cooking, baking and travel. Life is good.

Hi Y'all,

My husband and I have lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for the past 23 years. We really love it and DON'T miss the snow and cold. We have been very happily married for almost 32 years. Wow, time sure flies! I retired in Nov. of 2003 from Verizon Communications after 20 years. We are both enjoying our retirement with traveling, reading, exercising (love that chocolate), and lots of other stuff.

We were in Mpls. in July for a family get together so we won't be able to be at the reunion.  Have a great time and a BIG thank you to the planning commitee. If you are ever in our area please stop by.

Marital status: Married
Children: 3
Occupation: hennepin co. atty office/victim witness unit
Comment: I told my daughter Michelle that my 40th HS reunion was coming up and she said, "Am I that old?"(referring to herself). Little cutie. Actually, when I'm 100 she'll be 80.  Well, Debbie Rich directed me to this website because I was lilsted as missing.  If Deb doesn't make it to the reunion, I'll try to get along without her.
My successes are my children and grandchildren. I'll bring pictures. I don't know how to scan one of myself - computer resistant here. What I remember fondly of HS was choir with Mr. G. And of course my boyfriend, a grade ahead, Gregory Biddle. We married and had 3 awesome kidlets. I wish they lived closer...Michelle is in CT, Jesse at Long Beach, CA., and Drew in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Six grandchildren to date.

Clyde Mattson (Mattson)

Marital status: Single
Occupation: LCDR, U.S. Navy (Retired)
Comment:   Retired as a LCDR (SS) from the U.S. NAVY after 24 years in the Nuclear Submarine Service .

I served on two Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarines , the USS THOMAS A EDISON, SSBN 610 (Gold), and USS PATRICK HENRY, SSBN 599(Blue) and made 12 stategic deterrent patrols throughout my career.

    Served on the Nuclear Attack Submarine, USS DACE SSN 607;

Completed two tours on the Submarine tender, USS PROTEUS, AS19 out of Guam.

Shore duties included: duty in Rota, Spain; submarine ovhl in Vallejo, CA;  decommissioning  of AS19 in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard  Bremerton, WA; Subgroup 9 Staff duty Bremerton WA; and two shore duty tours in Pearl Harbor, HI; .

On submarines you DO NOT get to "see the world" but I did manage to see southern Spain, Naples Italy, the Panama Canal, Guam, Hawaii, Southern CA., Brisbane & Syndey Australia, Pusan South Korea, Sasebo, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and a little known (inhabited) atoll in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that belongs to the country of Yap, called Ulithi. A military career was not on my radar screen when in HS but as things turned out it was a wonderful career that enabled me to have experiences and travel to places I other wise would not have experienced or seen.

After retiring (and just weeks prior to my 45th birthday) I moved to Northern THAILAND --- where I am currently retired & living.

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: President-RCM Management Services
Comment: Those were the good old days. These are also the good old days. Still see old friends from grade school. My kids always comment about the duration and depth of the friendships.

I "retired" in 2010 after the architecture firm where I was the CFO and an owner was sold. I started my own management consulting firm in 2012 and work part time. It is fabulous having an intellectual challenge and some income without the stress.

Carol (Richter) and I enjoy golfing and travel. We try to get away as much as possible in the winter to golf and get out of the cold. We have two daughters and two grandkids. One daughter is in LA, so we enjoy heading there to visit. Our other daughter and grandkids live in Plymouth. We spend a lot of time with them and help out as much as possible.

I have great memories from high school and as hard as it is to accept that it has been 50 years, I look forward to our reunion.

Comment: Here it is in a nutshell...

I'm still married to Pete Davis (Hopkins 65).  I still live in Shorewood and I'm still active in City of Shorewood events and commissions.

I still work as a technician with Bolton & Menk, it's such a good job (and company) I cant seem to break away.

I'm involved with Crew 52 for the Super Bowl and we're heading up to the Canadian Rockies for a train vacation in October.

I'm contemplating swinging by the Friday night event.  Or not.  I will decide closer to.
