I am really looking forward to this reunion especially since I will be attending with several old friends ( classmates). I was pretty lucky in high school to meet Diane Elletson who became my best friend in 10th grade and still is my best friend to this day. How lucky are we to still be close friends after ALL these years?? I retired in 2013 after 43 years of the best career ever! I was a registered nurse and later became a family nurse practitioner and taught in the graduate school at the U of M. as well as worked in a local practice. Sharing in the lives of my patients made going to work every day a privilege. I just celebrated my 45 th anniversary and count myself lucky to have raised 5 amazing kids with their wonderful father. Our eldest son is an associate professor at Seoul National U in Korea, our next son does critical care transport in San Diego and is head of a non profit. He and his wife have 2 beautiful sons. Our eldest daughter is a physician in Mpls. ( maybe she is your doctor??) and she and her husband have 4 active boys. The next daughter lives in Mpls and is in retail. Our youngest son is a civil engineer in Edina and along with his wife is expecting their first child about the time of our reunion. Ironically, they live in a house one block south and west of the house I grew up in. Currently, I am enjoying NOT commuting to work in bad weather, traveling, hiking, and helping to care for my 6 grandsons! Last year, my husband and I adopted a 6 year old black lab IED detection Marine Corp dog who served 2 tours of duty in Afghanistan before becoming disabled and no longer fit for duty. He is truly the love of our lives and seems to have been born with joy in his heart! Thanks to all who are planning this memorable reunion for us; I hope we have a good turnout. |

After being born in Iowa and living most of my life in the western suburbs of Mpls, I've come full circle and live in Decorah, Iowa. After losing my husband, Jimmy Johnson, to cancer, I met my current husband (Gary) and moved south of the MN border. We have a combined count of children (11) and grandchildren (21). I am retired, but married a man who will never retire. Gary has agriculture businesses and his love of them keeps him (us) quite active. We travel a great deal and are involved in politics both at a state and federal level. We have a bit of a 3 way split and spend our time between homes in Decorah, New Lisbon, WI, and Scottsdale, AZ. Can't believe it has been 50 years for our class! Wishing you all health, happiness, and most of all God's blessings!!! |

Looking forward to capping off a summer of milestones at the reunion. Celebrated my 20 anniversary with my employer; saw my eldest daughter graduate from college, my youngest son from kindergarten and wrapping up my 40th season playing post-high school amateur baseball. I’m a safety consultant for Farmers Insurance, traveling the five-state area visiting commercial accounts. My wife Lori (Neale) of 16 years is a Watertown, South Dakota native and a mortgage loan office with Countrywide Mortgage. I’m proud to say my two oldest daughters (Brittany and Chelsea) are graduates of St. Louis Park High as non-resident transfer students. Combined, they earned ten varsity letters in Gymnastics, Diving and Fast-pitch Softball. Brittany was a homecoming queen candidate, Athena Award winner and qualified twice for the State Gymnastics Championships. She went on to earn four varsity letters at Gustavus Adolphus College. Chelsea, photography major, finished her second year at UW-Eau Claire and anchored the women's Diving Team. She currently is attending the Minneapolis Institute of Art. By the next reunion, look for her photos in National Geographic. She currently is planning her second mission trip to Honduras. My youngest daughter Madysen (age 14) has played soccer the last seven seasons and is trying out for the Eastview Soccer Team as a goalie. She is also an aspiring runway model. After coaching summer baseball in St. Louis Park for twelve seasons at Skippy and Carlson Fields, Brittany's mom and I are shipping her off to Melbourne, Australia next month to play women’s baseball on a club team. She hopes to compete for the USA at the World Cup in 2010. After three summers to myself, I was drafted into service again, coaching my son Jesse’s baseball team. He also is a Cub Scout and earned his first merit badge this summer. Needless to say, the last two decades of my life have been spent in transit between kids activities. |

Comment: okay, all of you retired classmates; i found myself in retirement status two years ago as well, however, that only lasted three months! After having been in biz with my mother for over 23 years (Rainbow's End Bakery - SLP) the following "series of misunfortunate events" happened: My dad passed away, mother retired; my husband suffered a heart attack (yes, TG he survived!) and of all things, I became intolerant to flour and sugar!!! We "retired" from the biz two years ago and although it was a passion of mine, I have found that there is life out there without working 90 hours a week! I am now working part time in Sales/Marketing and in process of writing a specialty cook book which will include all the old bakery recipes! (If you want to get your name on the upcoming newsletter/mailing list: rainbowsendcookbook@q.com) (How could I have passed on a perfect plug...how many in our graduating class??!) We are enjoying having more time with our two grandchildren, more time with each other (after 39 years of marriage!) and have recently "rescued" a 3 yo Wheaten Terrier, and love to walk the lakes with her. Hope to see you all soon! |

I am semi-retired, but still working in Hardware Asset Management at US Bank-Richfield, where I love working with all their databases. We track all bank computer hardware in the U.S., Canada, and some foreign countries. I have one beautiful, smart daughter, Debbie, who lives in South Minneapolis with her wonderful husband, Steve and my two sweet grandkids, Steven, Jr. and Lily. Debbie graduated from the UW-Madison. She spent her junior year for 9 months in Quito, Ecuador, visiting Peru, the rain forest, the Galapagos, Indian villages, etc. I had the privilege of visiting her and her host family in Quito. She now works for General Mills in the customs brokerage department, where she uses her degree in Spanish communicating with the Mexicans. It will be exciting to see people from the Class of '67. I went to the ten-year reunion, but haven't made it back until this one. I am sad to see we lost so many class members. Thank you to the committee for putting this together again! |

Greetings to all. I have lived here in sunny California for over 32 years. Right now I have a home in the desert city of Colton. Someday, my own island? Have worked in law enforcement the past 15 years or so and enjoy it. Trying to make a difference. Have two large dogs, Charlie and Molly Regina, who are my "kids". (No, I don't put clothes on them.) I paint for the love of painting but would love to sell some art some day. Very technologically challenged, so unable to "upload anything". I am a natural blnode. Have a great time at the party. All my yearbooks were destroyed in a fire many years ago. If anyone has an "extra" that I can purchase - Please contact me. Thank you. |
