CLASSMATE BIOS

In some of the past reunions, we have printed a book containing a bio of most classmates. This is too expensive and is outdated quick, so we are providing this page to create a digital classmates bio book. Please know... this information IS secure and NOT available on the website, but you are able to contact anyone 'via email', who has posted their bio.

So, please take a few minutes to update us with your comments and contact information, especially if you moved or changed your email address. Please add a current picture of yourself – it can be with your spouse, your dog, pet rock, what ever you prefer. Your 'Then' photo will be added later by the site administrator.
Again please remember... no address or contact information is displayed on the website page, it is secure and only available for messages or announcements from the Reunion Committee.

Comment: Bob and I live in NJ and have been married for 35 years. We have been blessed with 3 great kids-Bobby 31, Eric 29 and Erin 27 and two precious granddaughters.  

I have been fortunate to have had a job that I have absolutely loved for the past 35 years. I work with some school aged children, but primarily with preschoolers with developmental delays. It's always a great day at school with alot of talking, playing and laughing with the bonus of hugs.

Comment: I've been living in Paris, France for 36 years, have been married for 32, and have been playing the harpsichord professionally for the whole time.  I'd love to come back & see lots of people from SLP... but you keep choosing the wrong dates for our reunions.  Some day I'll make it!

In my recent photo it is obvious that I have tried to maintain all the "youthful values" many of us grew up to appreciate during our special "summer of love" 40 years ago.

I moved to the Seattle area in 1982 & shortly thereafter met the girl of my dreams who, as you can see, shares all my values, a definite formula for happiness. Life is great here in the northwest. I have prospered as a real estate developer over the last 15 years. My wife Francine & I have two teenagers. Ben is 17 & Ellie is 14. I obviously started my family much later than some of you grandparents! I look forward to returning to Mpls next month for our reunion and visiting with all who can attend.

Comment: Great to read all of the bios from classmates. I'm an attorney in downtown Minneapolis. Married for 34 years, with a 29-year old just married son living in Philadelphia, and a 25-year old daughter living in SanFrancisco. I'm still living in St. Louis Park. In fact, in the 90s I spent 7 years on the SLP School Board. I had the privilege of giving a retirement certificate to Mr. Olson, our old psychology teacher. If I had known I would be on the school board some day, I would have paid more attention to what was going on in high school. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Comment: I've been in Maine since 1984. It took about 20 years to feel at home in New England. I am still a mid-westerner at heart. After a 23 year marriage to a man I met at an anti-war rally in 1971... we parted. We have 2 great kids... 29 and 25. I am blessed to be in a second marriage..9 years now. I live on 4 acres... in a passive solar house. We have a big garden, chickens and good neighbors and friends. I was a private practice psychotherapist for 30 years and am now retired. I live in "vacation land" and consider myself lucky to hear the crickets at night and see deer in my field. I have fond memories of sitting on the steps with Wendy Sotobeer listening to Janis Ian (so alternative!) I loved singing in the chorus. Great times autograph chasing with Perky Tjornholm and her father. I adored Ms. Jones for turning me on to literature and Mr Loengering for giving me permission to think. It does feel like 40 years have gone by... 400 sometimes. I wish everyone the best.

Comment: After attending the U of M in the late 60's, I traveled Europe and Israel a couple of times. I settled down and started a long career (31 plus) years at Northwest Airlines. I started in the offices in accounting and tax divisions, then decided there was more to airline life than sitting at a desk pushing a pen. I transferred to the Minneapolis Airport Terminal as a Customer Service Agent. On occasion I would see former classmates flying out of the airport. I was able to retire at age 55, nearly 3 years ago and now I am finding a new life by playing. I tap dance, line dance, do volunteer work, and on occasion knit. I still travel both with my husband Ron and my old roommates from 35 years ago and former co-workers. Life is Great!! Hope to see former "Fern Hill" elementary schoolmates at the reunion. I have a funny story that would amuse students that attended the former "Park Hill" elementary school.

Comment: Rick and I have four children and eight grandchildren.  We have lived in Minnesota, Virginia, and Wisconsin.  While living in Virginia I was a preschool teacher, after moving to Wisconsin I became the head secretary of a middle school.  Now that we are both retired we enjoy spending time with family and traveling the United States.
