Comment:
I never expected to end up in Florida. I went back to school and got my RN at age 40. Still dabble in theatre whenever possible. I've been married to Preston Boyd, teacher. musician, & actor for 32 years. Our sons, Dorian and Colin, are both in the entertainment industry. I guess it's in the blood. Only VERY OLD friends get away with calling me Perky. |

Comment: After graduation, I attended the University of Minnesota on a career path for Merchandise Management or as a Retail Buyer. I became employed in Retail Management for the next 4 years, I then did a job change to Commerical Advertising and Lithography. I married at the age of 32 and relocated to Southeast Florida. Where I did a career change to become a PGA Golf Professional, with employment at Private Equity Country Clubs. I was promoted from PGA Assistant Golf Profesional to PGA Merchandise Manager for a private country club in Boyton Beach Fl, with three championship courses and a membership of 1500. I was awarded the Merchandiser of the Year Award for the South Florida PGA. I am now semi-retired, I work PT on occasion with PGA Golf Instruction and Club Fitting, I was employed at a retail golf facility for 10 years prior to my retirement. I live very close to the Atlantic Ocean where I enjoy cycling, golf, and a regular visit to the gym, I am still good friends and communicate with Randy Winpsear and Jerry Armstrong from the class of 1967. |

Life is great isn't it! I still have my love affair with Greek islands, French resorts and Italian towns, as well as Minneapolis. Living in the UK, I don't get back to MN every year but always love it when I can visit. I've been here in the UK for 30 some years now, had a business here with my husband for many years, and just love my friends, family, golf, travel, sailing, skiing, hiking - oh my... there isn't enough time is there? I'm fortunate enough to be staying for the reunion, with Elaine Johnson and her husband Ron (plus my husband Allan of course), also will be seeing Jan Palmer over the weekend. I so look forward to meeting old friends and classmates but you'll have to remind me - memory is slipping, along with all other faculties LOL. Get in touch! |

I am looking forward to attending the reunion and thank the organizers for their efforts. I have been happily married to my wife of 44 years, Carter, of Washington, Virginia. We live in Fairfax Station, Virginia and are blessed to have three children and two grandchildren. After graduating from the Naval Academy, I completed a full Navy career over 29 years, having commanded two nuclear submarines and retiring as a Navy Captain. We lived in South Carolina, New York, Connecticut, Virginia, Maine and Washington State during that period. Running still remains a pastime, having completed five Marine Corps Marathons and numerous 10K races. I am currently serving in a senior executive service position in the Office of Nuclear Energy of the Department of Energy. |

Comment: I have been working at Methodist Hospital for the last 35 years and spent most of my life caring for my parents. They were able to stay in their SLP home for 60yrs with much assistance from me, and I was happy to do it. I haven't ventured far from SLP, but did move to Hopkins. Hoping to retire soon and move down to Johnson City TN where I have friends. | |

Comment: In 1971 I graduated from UMD with a major in sociology and a minor in psychology. After working for several years, I returned to school to pursue a teaching degree in K-6 along with a certification in Learning Disabilities. In 1979 I moved to Eau Claire, WI so that my husband could achieve his dream of owning a garden center. I taught elementarty special education in the Eau Claire School District. We raised 2 daughters, Amy (40) amd Melissa (37). Both girls attended college in Minnesota and decided to make the Twin Cities their home. Amy is married and a teacher in the Burnsville School District. Melissa now resides in Colorado and she is a nurse. In 2010 we moved to the Twin Cities to be closer to our families. I have continued to be gainfully employed and am now working at a nonprofit, teaching your adults with learning disabilities and autism how to live independently with a job. |
