CLASSMATE BIOS

In some of the past reunions, we have printed a book containing a bio of most classmates. This is too expensive and is outdated quick, so we are providing this page to create a digital classmates bio book. Please know... this information IS secure and NOT available on the website, but you are able to contact anyone 'via email', who has posted their bio.

So, please take a few minutes to update us with your comments and contact information, especially if you moved or changed your email address. Please add a current picture of yourself – it can be with your spouse, your dog, pet rock, what ever you prefer.
Your 'Then' photo will be added later by the site administrator.
Again please remember... no address or contact information is displayed on the website page, it is secure and only available for messages or announcements from the Reunion Committee.

Thanks and enjoy catching up on everyone.
The following pages by default are sorted by 'Last Name'. For better results, click on the down arrow to the right of the 'Sort By' and select 'Maiden Name'. It will be easier to find specific classmates.

If you have trouble accessing your previous bio, send a message through the "Contact Us" page and we can assist with your username and password.

Comment: Married to Nannette Nystrom (Robbinsdale 67). Long time employee of General Office Products Company not that far from the old stomping grounds of the St. Louis Park High School. Moved a little west to Deephaven and raised two children who now have kids of their own. Our son has two boys, the oldest being 4 and our daughter has two little girls and her oldest is 2. Since both families live in the Twin Cities area we don't have to travel great distances to see them. My wife managed to talk our son into going to her college alma mater, St. Olaf College and our daughter had a great experience at Luther College.

Can hardly believe it has been 50 years! Have kept up with a few high school friends over the years and it will be great to reconnect with other fellow classmates that I have not seen.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 40 years since we graduated, time moves so fast. I was surprised to see a picture of Karen and me from the 10 year reunion, where we won the prize for the most recently married graduate. I had so much hair and so few wrinkles!  Thirty years later we’re still very happily married, living in Chicago and enjoying life more than ever. Three years ago I retired after a 35 year career in broadcasting and now spend my time building custom furniture which I sell through galleries in and around Chicago. Karen and I get plenty of exercise exploring the country side by bicycle and have ridden nearly 30 thousand miles in the last 10 years.

Comment: Greetings! Sorry but I'll have to miss the gathering. Mary and I will be out of town celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary.

I continue in my ministry with Park Nicollet-Methodist Hospice in St. Louis Park, a program I've been with now since '79. Mary retired this past June after 35 years of teaching in the St. Paul Public Schools. We're childless by choice but are currently owned by our cat, Shadow. My sister, Judy ('69), and brother, David ('74), live in the Twin Cities, and my folks, (aka "Jim and Sal"), both 84 y/o, still live in their SLP home, despite our best efforts to move them to "assisted living".

I enjoyed reading the updates. Best wishes to all of you!

Comment: Hi! My first reunion in 40 years! As as musician--I see no retirement in the near future--but as long as I can still play, I'm happy to be working. I've lived in Cleveland (school), SF Bay Area, Guadalajara and Xalapa, Mexico, and Shreveport, LA, playing professionally all the while. I've been married to Tom, a French hornist/composer for 25 years and we have a son, 24, and a daughter, 21, and 2 cats.
See you at the reunion!

Comment: Hi Everyone! I am a retired Healthcare IT executive recently working under Obama's Reinvestment and Recovery Act automating physicians in So Ca.

I live in the mountains in so Calif. and in Maui depending on the weather. Still a water lover, scuba diver and underwater photographer - having fun, life is good, very busy. Love the ocean... had to be that Surf Belle background that made me end up on the ocean!

Look forward to seeing everyone and trying to figure out who everyone is 50 (eeeek!) years later!!

Comment: Greetings from the Sunny Left Coast!

Sadly, I will not be able to attend this reunion. I want to thank all of the folks who worked to put this event together for all of us to enjoy---even at a distance. The photos and notes from everyone have been fun to look at.

My life has been filled with 'wonderful' times, 'okay' times and 'not so good' times.  Fortunately, the 'wonderful' outweigh the 'okay and the 'not so good'. The hardest part for me has been the loss of both of my parents and the sale, after fifty years, of our family home.

My husband Barney and I have been happily married for 24 years. We are raising three sons and despite the same food, same schools and same general approach to parenting with each---they have grown up to be strikingly different young men. Our oldest son did a stint at Gustavus and returned home to continue to complete his degree in Anthropology, while he works as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Our middle son is a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy and plans to be a pilot. Our youngest son is a senior in high school and is the guitar player in a very sucessful-many paying gigs-1950's retro-rock band.

For the past fifteen years I have been coordinating a distance education program for adults. We offer many classes on television, on the Internet and in DVD libraries. Along the way I finally got a Master's Degree in Education Administration, which allowed me to branch out as a consultant to other programs in the state.

My office is located on a high school campus, which fills my days with the sights and sounds of teenagers and campus life which I love!  My career has taken me to many schools thoughout the state. However, I rarely encounter teachers of the caliber we took for granted that we would and did find at St. Louis Park High School. We were so fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated instructors.

I promise I won't miss the 50th!
