On Monday, 2/24/25, I will be participating in STRIDE's largest fundraising event of the year, the 100k Vertical Challenge. I will be snowboarding 100,000 vertical feet (87 runs in a day) with my team, Powder To The People, to support athletes with different abilities, and to raise money for all of STRIDE's programs.
I am not participating in the 100k because it is part of my responsibilities as the Program Director, but because it supports a mission that I am very passionate about
Many of you know me as "the lady in the office", but my reason for being in the office is because of my passion for STRIDE's mission. As someone who has spent the last 8+ years working with individuals of all abilities, and has a huge love for sports. I was just exactic to learn about STRIDE, and immediately wanted to find out how I could get involved. Now as the Program Director, most of my responsibilities are in the office, but my favorite days are when I have the opportunity to be out and about at programs, meeting all of you, watching everyone build their skills, and having fun!
Did you know that STRIDE does not receive government funding? That being said, STRIDE relies solely on the generosity and support from private donations, sponsorships, and grants, in order to fund approximently 19,500 free/low cost lessons (per year), throughout 17 different sport/recreational programs. This is why I need your help! No matter how little or how small...your donation matters!
Thank you for supporting me on my 100k journey!
