This is my 3rd year partaking in the Stride 100K Vertical Challenge. I am doing it for my buddy David who participates in the Stride Program at Jiminy Peak. Stride is an adaptive program that helps people across a broad range of needs.
On February 24th, our team, The Salem Slalomers will attempt to ski a total of 100,000 vertical feet in one day to raise funds to support STRIDE Adaptive Sports. STRIDE provides the opportunity for individuals who live with the challenges of physical and intellectual disabilities to participate in adaptive sports and recreation programs, not only in the winter, but year round!
STRIDE Adaptive Sports is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides sport and recreation to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on youth and Wounded Warriors. STRIDE Adaptive Sports is recognized as one of the leading adaptive sport programs in the Northeastern United States.
