SKETCHES OF MEMORIES

The book of life was opened forty-four years ago for Patrice Hardy Williams to fill on January 12, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama She was the second child born to the late Annie and Roosevelt Hardy, who preceded her in death.

Patrice was educated in the Birmingham Public School System. She attended Jefferson State Junior College, and Birmingham Southern She received her associate College degree in business at Booker T. Washington Business College.

She served faithfully as the secretary for the Carver High School Class Association of 1968.

At an early age, Patrice Williams accepted Christ and united with Christian Valley Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to New Hope Baptist Church, where she served on the Progressive Usher Board and was the past supervisor of the Herman Stone Junior Usher Board.
She later united in marriage with Earnest Williams. Patrice pledged "to love, honor and cherish until death" her devotion to Earnest.

Her memories will be lovingly cherished by her husband, Earnest Williams; daughters, Tara (Jeffery) Forest and Keisha Brownlee; son, Robert Lanier Johnson; three sisters, Janie Solomon of Rockford, IL, Mary Brownlee, and Lois (Thearon) Gray; brothers, Jerome W. Hardy and Glenn Irby of New York, NY; step-children, Yvette (Raynard) MaShan, Cheryl (Kelvin) Covington, Keisha Williams and Kenneth E. Williams; eight grandchildren mother-in-law, Doretha Hopkins; father-in-law, George Williams; sister-in-laws, Esther (James) Blevins, and Dr. Sharon Williams; brothers-in-law, Robert (Linda) Harris and Danny Williams, aunts, uncles, nieces, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of relatives, friends and church family.
