Christine Harrison was the 12th child born to the late Jesse and Mary Ida Myers on January 19, 1933 in Tyler, Alabama. She was the youngest of all her siblings and they called her "Baby Sister."
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Camp Creek Baptist in Tyler, Alabama. When she moved to Detroit in 1960, she joined and attended First Baptist Church of Ecorse under the leadership of the late Rev. Earl M. Brown.
In November of 1950, she married her childhood friend and sweetheart Charlie Harrison. Christine gave birth to seven children but raised eight.
Christine departed this life on Friday evening, August 8, 2014, at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte. She leaves to mourn: Annie (Richard) Mackall, Genetta Johnson, Charles (Margarette) Harrison, Sharon (Walter) Rayford, Bennie Jean Harrison, Juliette Cooper, KaSandra Harrison, and Du'Shun Harris; 12 grandchildren, Richard (Valerie), Ronaid (Victoria) Bettina, Ryan Mackall, Damon and Demetrius Walton, John (Yolanda), Mya Rayford, Meisha, Michael (LaTosha), Mia Harrison and Antonia (Perry) Gray; 21 great-grands; one sister-in-law Rosa Myers of River Rouge; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
