Walter Lee Myles, Jr. was born in Birmingham, AL, on June 28, 1955, to Walter Lee and Dorothy Ann Myles. He was affectionately called "Jug" by his family, close friends, and members of the community. Walter was reared in the East Birmingham community.

He was educated in the Birmingham Public School System. He was a 1973 graduate of Carol W. Hayes High School.

Walter spent many years of his adult life as a laborer at Stockham Valves & Fittings. In later years, he worked for Sherwin Williams Paint Company.

Walter was an avid bowler. For many Christian Athletic Association Bowling years, he participated in the League. He also thoroughly enjoyed the monthly fellowship with the former Hayes High School basketball players.

Walter accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Forty-fifth Street Baptist Church. He was appointed to the Deacons Ministry in 1979. He was Chairman Emeritus of the Deacons Ministry. He also served on the church staff for 30 years. He was a very dedicated member of the adult choirs. He was very actively involved in many ministries of the church, including Youth activities. Although he did not have biological children of his own, he worked tirelessly and selflessly to support the youth. He was true and faithful servant until he was called Home.

Walter departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

Walter Lee and Dorothy Walter was preceded in death by his parents Ann Myles; sister - Brenda Joyce Smith; and brother - Arthur P. Myles.

Willie (Patricia) He leaves many fond memories with his brother Myles; sisters - Loretta Myles and Natalie Arrington; aunts - Dorothy Mae Williams, Frances Boone, and Maria Gardner; brother-in-law Willie Moore Smith, nieces; nephews; cousins; a host of extended
family; and many friends.
