Services were Tuesday for Dr. Roderic Brian Freehling, 26, at Moore Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Hampden Memorial Gardens.

Freehling, 469 Cook St., died Aug. 7 at University Hospital in Denver from complications secondary to congenital heart disease.

He was born May 16, 1954, in Denver. He was a Phi Beta Kapp graduate of the University of Colorado in 1976. On Aug. 7, 1976, he married Patricia Marie Grady in Arvada.

He received a doctor of medicine degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1980, graduating in the top 5 percent of his class. At the time of his death, he was an intern in medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his parents, Alexander and Jean C. Freehling, Littleton, and two sisters, Sandra Blegebron, Littleton, and Gretchen, Littleton.

Rick, the world is missing a remarkable human being. My mother & your mother worked together at the May D & F in U-Hills for $1.65 per hour. Your mom, so proud of her son always kept me up on your accomplishments. Well done Rick.
