I knew Duke well, and I can say he was very kind, soft spoken and big hearted. I didn’t get to spend as much time with Duke as I would have liked, but the time I did get to spend with Duke was always a blessing. Duke had a way of making you feel accepted for who you were, and that would always make you feel good about yourself when you were in his presence. I believe there was just too much honor in Duke to ever conceive of dishonor in anyone else.
