John Peterson
1955-08-27 2017-03-05I never really knew John all that well. I met him through the others, Gary Houghton and Steve Beaghler. However, I do remember going over to John's house one afternoon, I do not remember the year, but the backyard at John's house was dug up with tunnels dug all around the yard. I always wondered how John's family let him dig up their yard like that!
tribute by Calvin HildebrandIf there was one person to whom I owed an amend, it would be John Peterson. I did not know he had died. I owe you one, John, in absentia, for not standing up for you.

tribute by Mike FlanaganJohn and I were both at Slavens Elementary and grew up in the same neighborhood together, riding our bikes, hiking and rock climbing together. We were also at DU together. John was a brilliant Computer Programmer and was a University Researcher Professor at Yale University and Professor of Computer Science at Western State Colorado University. He also was one of the Designers of the Haskell Computer Language. He died in a fatal climbing accident. https://archive.gunnisontimes.com/obituaries/john-peterson
