Samuel Kim Cabbiness

1955-02-22 2019-10-09

Sam was born in Bexar County, TX in February, 1995 and died in Cushing, OK on October 1, 2009. He attended Oklahoma State University, worked for McDonnell Douglas and was an Environmental, Safety and Security Supervisor at Special Energy Corporation. Sam loved the great outdoors and to hunt. He is survived by his daughter Christina.

He wrote his own farewell on October 1, 2019:

"Well I’ve been fighting renal cancer now for two years. Lost a kidney and tried all kinds of chemo. Doctors gave me the long sad face and told me to find a good hospice. Not giving up though. With the help of a cousin with connections, I’m trying to get into MD Anderson to see if they can do anything. Got my will done now working on getting funeral and tombstone ready.

I’ve lived a pretty good life and had a lot of fun times so I’m not too scared of kicking the bucket. One out of three get cancer so why not me. Luck of the draw. I just worry about those I leave behind. So I’m almost ready and have no problem meeting my maker.

Hey folks! The road goes on forever and the party never ends!
The rest of you keep on keeping on!
Endeavor to Persevere!
P.S.-my hair is growing back out!
Gray and curly as a poodles butt!"

Sam is buried in Anadarko, OK.
