Mark was born in Baltimore, MD in 1955 and moved to Tulsa with his family in 1961. He was a member of the Vocational Industrial Art Club of America, Chaplain of the Junior Civitan Club, Art Club, was a member of the Kirk Of The Hills Presbyterian Church youth choir and was an Eagle Scout. He was also named outstanding photo student in VICA. Mark attended Nimitz Junior High before becoming a Memorial Charger.

Mark died of cancer at a Tulsa hospital. For the 9 months preceding his death, Mark was treated in hospitals in Tulsa and Houston. Mark's father, Rev, Lewis Evans, was the pastor of Kirk Of The Hills Presbyterian Church, where his memorial service was held. Mark was survived by his father, his mother and his sisters, Linda and Kathy.
