Jo Lynn “Jody” Fritts, 67, passed from this life Thursday, September 7, 2023, at home with her family by her side. Her services are entrusted to Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
Jo Lynn was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Loyd Harrison and Alma Louise (Daily) Huls on September 21, 1955. She attended Memorial High School in Tulsa and graduated in 1973. Jo Lynn attended Hillcrest Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology and was registered in several imaging modalities including radiology, computed tomography and ultrasonography. She married Michael Fritts of Okay, Oklahoma January 21, 1977. They settled in Sand Springs and raised their family. She served as clinical coordinator for the Tulsa Technology School of Radiologic Technology for a number of years and retired in 2019 from St. John Medical Center in Tulsa following 45 years in medical imaging. Jo Lynn was a member of the America Society of Radiologic Technologists, the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and served as president of the local chapter. She was also a member of Sand Springs Pilot Club and Sand Spring Ladies Quilting Club. She taught Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church in Sand Springs for several years and volunteered service to the Sand Springs Cultural Museum.
As a true believer, Jo Lynn started each day with quiet time, studying God’s word. She was an extremely gifted seamstress, an avid crafter and enjoyed gardening, reading and travel. She loved nature and always enjoyed a walk in the woods.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Alma Huls; and Goddaughter and niece, Emily Huls.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Fritts; daughter, Michelle Parker and husband, Kyle of San Antonio; daughter, Rachel Fritts of Tulsa; sisters: Sue Huls of Tulsa, and Karen Divine and husband, Tom of Edmond; and brother, Richard Huls and wife, Liz of Tulsa. Also, family and friends too numerous to list. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Jo Lynn's Life will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephen Cagle officiating.
