The Hampton Roads Chapter of the Association of Black Social Workers is proud to participate in the Sickle Cell Awareness Walk at Norfolk State University on September 13, 2025.

We invite you to stand with us in support of The Sickle Cell Association, Inc., whose mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals affected by sickle cell through education, advocacy, counseling, and support services. Your support helps provide:

Public Awareness & Education to increase knowledge about sickle cell disease.
Scholarship Awards to keep dreams alive despite physical and financial challenges.
Emergency Assistance Programs for patients in need of help with housing, utilities, medical expenses, and food insecurity.

Together, we can raise awareness, bring hope, and strengthen our community.
