Chad Jonathan Tillman went home to be with the Lord our Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday March 13, 2017 at the age of 49. Chad is survived by his loving wife Kim of 28 years. They were married in Thousand Oaks, California on March 18, 1989. Chad is lovingly remembered by his son, Todd; his daughters Taylor and Chandler; his parents Fred and Lee Tillman; his niece Amber Tillman Jordan; and many other close family and friends. Chad was a loving father, husband and friend to all. Chad was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan November 18, 1967. Chad graduated from Westlake High School in Westlake, California and went on to pursue his career in McDonald’s. Chad enjoyed fishing and spending time on the boat with his family at their lake house in Pickwick. Being by the water was his “Happy Place”. Chad began his career in Thousand Oaks, California, in 1984. He moved to Memphis in 1989 to join his father’s company, Century Management. Chad became an approved McDonald’s operator in 1993 and was offered his first restaurant in 1995. Chad and his father Fred merged their restaurants and eventually operated 69 locations in three states. Throughout his career, Chad served on the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis Board of Directors, the Great Southern Region Next Generation Operators Committee, Promotions Team, Ops Excellence Team, the Regional Leadership Council, and the national Wal Mart Advisory Board. The visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN on March 19th at 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN on March 19th at 2:30 pm. A reception will take place at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis, 535 Alabama Avenue, Memphis, TN 38105.
