Birgid Buntic left the physical world on November 19, 2018 one week after her 66th birthday. While ovarian cancer shortened her journey, her zest for life continued until her last breath.

Birgid had a thirst for learning and was always looking for the next adventure to explore. From California to Kansas to Illinois to North Carolina, Birgid was loved and admired by a diverse group of friends who will miss her wit, her unique personality, and her limitless curiosity. She was known as a "connector" and had a unique ability to introduce and connect a wide variety of people with varied backgrounds.

Birgid is survived by her brother, Bob Buntic, an extended family, and a large group of friends. In her short life, Birgid touched many lives.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm in Gallery 2, Art Space, 201 E. Davie Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.
