We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2018, at the age of 66, Richard Craddock (Aurora, Illinois), born in Elmhurst, Illinois passed away. Richard was a beloved science teacher at Proviso West. He leaves behind him family, friends, colleagues, and countless students that he impacted with his quick wit and kind heart.
He was predeceased by his mother Ethel L. Craddock. He is survived by his cousins, Ron Schweitzer (Marilyn), Jim Schweitzer (late Mary), Lauren Schweitzer-Cody, Chris, Adam and Beth Schweitzer.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for cancer research.

Rich was a wonderful human being who saw life's ups and downs and persevered. He was beloved by his mostly African American students. He had been through a lot of hell in his life so he was able to cut through the BS with students and they adored him. He was smart , funny and caring. I was blown away by the hundreds of students I saw at his funeral and their outpouring of love
